Dear Friends
We are actively raising funds to fix the fencing surrounding the school, improve its height, and add extra security to protect the safety of all pupils in light of an incident that allowed an armed robber to infiltrate the school grounds last week.
Our monthly food expenses were cut by 45% thanks to our vegetable garden, which is currently in bloom. We are thrilled to see the trees start producing fruit so we can supplement the children's food because all of them have survived and are developing nicely. We are preparing for Nelson Mandela Day in July in order to earn money for new books for the school library. For Nelson Mandela Day the year before, we planted nearly 20 fruit trees.
Eight children were referred for additional care that was funded by contributions in addition to the eye exams that were given to all of the children. Additionally, given that we lack heating and the fact that the days are growing shorter, we must actively gather money for winter outfits. We are currently experiencing level 6 load shedding, so we are aggressively seeking money to provide power banks for each of the six courses.
Thank you for your support.
