Your Impact: Gives Hope to Mr. Abu Arab's Family

By HASAN SADIK | Turkiye / MERSIN

 Dear Supporters

As part of the field investigation carried out by our teams working in the camps of northern Syria to monitor the most needy humanitarian cases there, we met with Mr. Abu Arab, as he prefers to be called.

During the devastation that Syria witnessed in early 2012, he suffered a serious injury that almost killed him, and as a result of this injury he lost his foot.

Brother Abu Arab, a father of five children, lives in Soran camp in a small tent that does not protect him from the summer heat or the winter cold.

Abu Arab tells us that he can barely provide a small amount of food for his children because he is unable to find permanent work due to his injury. The family suffers from the loss of most of the basic necessities of life.

Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide a food basket on a monthly basis to the Abu Arab family. The basket contains basic items such as rice, sugar, tea, lentils, pasta and bulgurWe also gave them bread frequently.

Abu Arab's joy was indescribable, to the point that he embraced the team members one after the other.

He asked us to send his thanks and gratitude to everyone who donated and contributed to this project.

Abu Arab says: “This food basket has alleviated our suffering, as we can now eat some diverse foods, and I will be able to provide some other needs for my children, such as clothes and toys, which they were deprived of for a long time.

Thanks to benefactors like you, we were able to alleviate the suffering of this miserable family, but there are many families whose situation is no different from the situation of the Abu Arab family

We ask you to continue supporting us through this project in order to cover cases similar to Mr. Abu Arab.
