Despite the rise in temperatures to unprecedented levels in northern Syria, our team on the ground there still continues to provide its various services to the displaced people there. In light of these difficult circumstances, thanks to your unlimited donations and giving, we were able to distribute bread to 300 families in need during the past week. These families reside in 10 small informal settlements in the northwestern part of the city of Soran. The humanitarian situation of these families is very sad, as the most basic necessities of life are lacking in these communities. It is as if they live isolated from the outside world.
Bread is considered the main source of food for these families, in light of the inability of most of them to provide other food items due to the lack of job opportunities and the lack of any aid reaching these communities, as they are random gatherings. Through your support, we were able to provide the most important need for these families, which is bread.
After we finished the distribution process, some of the families invited us to have tea, and during our session we listened to the needs of the people of these informal camps, and they asked us to convey their thanks and gratitude to wonderful people like you, who played a major role in alleviating part of the suffering of these needy people who cannot find anything to feed their children.
Only with you can we alleviate the suffering of many needy people in the camps of northern Syria.
