A Loaf of Bread, A Lifeline of Hope

By MUHAMMED DEEBEH | Project leader

Dear Donor

In Maram Camp, located in the village of Ahtaymelat in northern Syria, young Mahmoud lives with his mother and brother Hussein in a modest tent, after losing their father last year due to kidney disease. Since then, their mother has shouldered the full burden of survival alone.

This small family faces harsh humanitarian conditions amid displacement, lack of income, and the absence of a provider. Each passing day brings a new struggle to secure their basic needs—especially food—amid soaring prices and dwindling resources.

Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to distribute fresh bread to Mahmoud’s family as part of an initiative to support the most vulnerable households. This simple act had a meaningful impact, easing their daily hardship and providing the children with essential nourishment.

When Mahmoud’s mother received the bread, she wasn’t just carrying bags of food—she was carrying a sense of reassurance that someone still cares. Mahmoud’s eyes sparkled with gratitude, as if life had returned to its smallest details.

We thank everyone who has contributed and continues to contribute to such vital efforts. Your support is a lifeline for countless families still waiting for a helping hand.

With a loaf of bread, we plant hope in the hearts of the suffering.
