A Fresh Meat Package Brought Warmth to Khadija and Her Husband in Northern Syria

By Hasan Sadik | Project leader

Dear Donor

In one of the temporary shelters in the countryside of Suran, northern Syria, lives Khadija with her elderly husband Raad. Years of conflict have left them with nothing but memories of their only son, who tragically lost his life during the war. Since then, they have had no one to rely on—except for a few kind relatives, and generous people like you.

During the recent days of Eid al-Adha, and as part of our seasonal food support campaign, Amal Alumma was able to deliver a fresh portion of lamb meat to Khadija and her husband. Though modest, this meal brought comfort and dignity to two people who rarely experience such relief.

With tears in her eyes, Khadija told our team:
"We didn’t expect to eat meat this week… but your help reminded us that we are not forgotten."

In regions like northern Syria, where displacement, poverty, and loss have become part of daily life, even a small act of kindness—like a package of fresh meat—can restore a sense of care and humanity.

At Amal Alumma, we believe that solidarity has no borders, and that compassion is a universal language. Your support reaches real people with real needs—and changes lives.

Thank you for making this possible.
We invite you to stay involved, share our message, and continue being part of a network of hope for thousands still waiting for relief.
