Project Overview
Children with disabilities in rural Sindh face immense barriers in accessing rehabilitation services. One major challenge is transportation. Many families are unable to afford travel costs or lack access to reliable transport, which results in high drop-out rates from our rehabilitation programs.
This project aims to provide a dedicated vehicle for the NDF Rehab Center in Nawabshah to ensure safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for children with disabilities. Thanks to your generous support, we are making steady progress toward this critical goal.
Achievements This Quarter
Partial Funds Raised
60% of the target amount raised through GlobalGiving and local contributions
Ongoing community fundraising activities to bridge the funding gap
Transportation Support (Interim Solution)
Hired a temporary rented van (3 days a week) to pick up and drop off children from nearby villages
Reduced absenteeism rate by 40% in these areas
Parent Feedback
92% of families reported reduced stress due to transportation assistance
Parents shared that children are more consistent in therapy and visibly improving
Vehicle Vendor Shortlisting
Three vehicle suppliers have been shortlisted for purchase once full funding is achieved
Options include small accessible vans with seating for 10–12 children + caregiver
