In Pakistan, disability is often viewed through the lens of pity, stigma, or misunderstanding, rather than ability, rights, and potential. Negative perceptions and stereotypes directly affect self-confidence, social inclusion, education, and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Disability image building focuses on changing mindsets, promoting positive representation, and raising awareness that persons with disabilities are active, capable members of society. With support from GlobalGiving crowdfunding, NDF Pakistan launched this project to strengthen disability awareness, positive narratives, and inclusive attitudes.
