We are happy to share an inspiring update on the progress of the eight visually impaired (VI) girls whose higher education journey you are helping support. These young women come from underprivileged backgrounds and are now boldly stepping into a future of independence and possibility, thanks to your continued encouragement and generosity.
Education Breakdown
Each of these students is pursuing mainstream education in local colleges while living at Mitra Jyothi’s residential facility. They are building not just academic knowledge, but life skills and confidence.
Independence in Action
Every day, these girls walk to and from college independently navigating traffic, pedestrians, cattle confidently using white canes and smartphone-based navigation apps. Their ability to travel alone is a remarkable milestone, showcasing the practical impact of mobility training and digital empowerment.
Active Participation
They are not just going to college—they’re thriving:
Their growing self-confidence is visible in every step they take—whether it’s asking a question in class or performing in front of an audience.
Your Support = Lasting Impact
Your contribution helps us provide:
Thanks to your support, these girls are becoming role models for their peers and communities—showing that disability does not define potential.
Looking Ahead
We are committed to continuing this journey with them through their academic milestones and beyond—toward careers and independent living. With your partnership, we are not just supporting education—we are shaping futures.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Team Mitra Jyothi
