Horas da Vida Institute perform social action in honor of Pink October
Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women in Brazil. In 2021, according to data from the National Cancer Institute (INCA), it is estimated that there will be 66,280 new cases of the disease. The incidence of breast cancer tends to grow progressively from the age of 40, as well as mortality from this disease.
Based on that, we developed this project to one hundred patients were treated between November 3rd and 4th, during the Women's Health Service, at CUFA in Paraisópolis, São Paulo, Brazil. The event offered medical care with specialists in gynecology, who are volunteers from Horas da Vida Institute. Women from the Paraisópolis community assisted by CUFA were able participate in the project.
Services performed:
Online medical consultations will be used in the return of these patients with their respective doctors.
