Hello Coffee Fanatics!
As seasons change, we are working year-round with coffee farmers. August was a big month of buying our first round of coffee beans from the coffee farmers. We will be selling their green coffee beans to roasters for a more than fair-trade price which will be the start of improving the economic situation of the coffee farmers. Right now is the beginning of the new season which means that it is an important time to be addressing the health of the soil so that the coffee plants can thrive for the next harvest. This step will be crucial for long-term results. We are taking everything one step at a time while we are hoping to scale up the project to reach our goal of doubling income for these farmers.
Along with buying coffee from farmers, we also are starting our own sister brand of the AASD called Café Orígenes. This brand is specific to our coffee project that will enable us to expand our outreach to impact coffee farmers that need support. We hope to learn and grow each year into Café Orígenes to see real results in the livelihoods of the farmers we work with. Learn more about what we are doing with Café Orígenes on our youtube channel. Additionally you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram to start receiving the most recent updates on our Café Orígenes journey.
This is only the beginning!
