Dear friends,
Warm greetings from Bangalore Baptist Hospital.
Thank you for your continued support of our rural healthcare work.
We’re sharing a brief glimpse from the field, a look into the lives you’re helping to improve. Because of your support, patients managing diabetes and hypertension receive regular care that helps them stay active, earn a living, and enjoy time with their families.
Anjanappa, a hardworking pomegranate farmer, has long struggled to manage his diabetes. He knows that when his sugar levels rise, he doesn’t have the strength to tend his garden. “If I feel weak, I can’t work in the field,” he says. Now, with regular visits from our health team — sometimes right in the middle of his garden, his health has improved. Our healthcare workers check his sugar levels, provide medication, and guide him on food and lifestyle choices.
"They come and sit with me, talk to me, explain things. I trust them," he says with a smile.
Narayanaswamy has been under our care for the past five years. His sugar levels were high a few years ago, but today they’re under control thanks to regular check-ups and treatment.
"I only get treatment from the mobile clinic. They come to my house, they check everything. Because of them, I’m doing fine," he shares.
Stories like Anjanappa’s and Narayanaswamy’s show how bringing healthcare into homes and fields transforms lives. Our health workers regularly visit village homes, checking blood sugar and pressure, providing medicines, and offering practical guidance on food and exercise.
Thank you for walking with us on this journey. Your support makes this work possible, and we are grateful.
With gratitude,
Carol
