Thanks to your prayers and generous support, Operation Blessing Japan was once again able to serve in the Noto Peninsula.
Before setting out, a group of church volunteers joined us for a special learning session. Together we explored how to care not only for survivors but also for our own hearts—asking questions like, “What words bring comfort?” and “What does it mean to quietly walk alongside someone in pain?” This time of reflection and preparation became an important step toward offering both practical help and compassionate presence.
In the days that followed, our team—guided by local residents—visited temporary housing in some of the hardest-hit areas of Wajima City. We distributed food and practical items to prevent heatstroke, along with supplies provided by church volunteers. One resident told us, “No one has ever brought relief supplies to this house before.”
Moments like these remind us why your partnership matters. Together with local churches and partners, and with your faithful support, we are able to reach those who might otherwise be overlooked. Thank you for walking with us so that we can continue to walk with them.
