Maha, Between the Needle and the Book

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

Amidst the roar of sewing machines and piles of fabric, Maha spends her long days. A high school orphan, Maha found herself carrying a responsibility far beyond her years: working in a sewing factory to provide for her family, while refusing to give up on the education that will secure her future.

For Maha, the needle she holds is more than just a tool; it is a means of survival. Yet, her heart remains tied to the books waiting for her at the end of the day. Her greatest challenge isn't just physical exhaustion, but the "race against time"—balancing grueling work shifts with the high school studies that will determine her university path.

This is where Masarat steps in, serving as the thread that connects Maha’s dreams to reality. Through our flexible digital learning system, Maha can access her lessons during breaks or after work, finding supportive teachers and a platform that nurtures her ambition. We aren't just teaching her how to pass an exam; we are giving her the power to choose a future that isn't confined to a factory floor.

Your support today lightens the burden of responsibility on Maha’s shoulders. Your donation ensures the continuity of the digital platform that reaches Maha wherever she is, proving to her that orphanhood and displacement will not break her spirit.
