Father, Brother, Student, Multiple Lives Of Omar

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

"I leave my little siblings alone to manage, but I leave my mind and heart with them." This is how 15-year-old Omar describes the moment he leaves his worn-out tent every morning—a tent that offers no shelter from the freezing winter or the scorching summer.

Suddenly responsible for his younger siblings after the loss of his parents, Omar’s life has become a grueling cycle of labor. One day he is harvesting crops, the next he is carrying heavy loads, and another he is struggling amidst construction dust. All of this just to provide a "morsel of bread" to keep his siblings alive, while his heart remains anchored to the tent, fearing for them.

How Masarat Makes a Difference for Omar: In the face of such a demanding daily schedule, "traditional education" becomes an impossible luxury. This is where Masarat steps in:

  • Flexible Learning (Asynchronous): Thanks to our recorded lessons, Omar doesn’t have to choose between earning a living and learning. He can access our platform in the evening after returning from the fields, transforming from an exhausted laborer into an ambitious student.

  • School Within the Tent: We bring education to him, allowing him to stay by his siblings' side, protecting and caring for them while building his academic future.

The Impact of Your Support: Your donations are the "lifeline" that keeps Omar on the educational path. Because of you, we can provide the digital tools and content that ensure Omar’s years are not lost solely to hard labor. You are not just donating for lessons; you are buying Omar a "ticket out" of poverty, giving him the chance to become the person his parents once dreamed he would be.
