Husen,Who Did Not Allow His Foot To Stop His Dream

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

"My physical disability will not stand in the way of my dream; I will study to become an active member of society."

With this unwavering determination, Husen has returned to his education after a six-year hiatus. For Husen, the challenges were not just the war or orphanhood, his physical disability forced a strict isolation upon him. Reaching a traditional school was nearly impossible in an environment lacking the most basic infrastructure for individuals with disabilities.

For 6 years, Husen watched books from a distance, trapped by physical pain and a harsh social reality. But this year, he found in Masarat the long-awaited solution.

  • Flexibility as a Radical Solution: Husen no longer needs to trek long distances on his weary feet or endure the hardship of navigating rugged, unpaved roads.

  • Education in His Own Space: Thanks to our remote learning model, his small room has been transformed into a global classroom. He now receives his education with ease and engages in brilliant discussions with his teachers, ensuring his disability is no longer a barrier to his ambition.

Our partners on GlobalGiving.. Your sponsorship of Husen’s education is a form of "freedom" you have granted him from the constraints of disability. Through your donations, we at Masarat were able to provide the educational environment that turned the "impossible" into a tangible reality.

Thank you for believing that education is a right for all, and for being the force that broke the barrier of disability to open the doors of the future for Husen.
