Project Report | Mar 9, 2026
From Aspirations to Achievement

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

As part of our continuous commitment to empowering students with the tools necessary for excellence, the Academic Guidance Track at "Masarat" hosted a specialized training session titled: "SMART Academic Goal Setting: From Desire to Actionable Goals."

This interactive workshop focused on transitioning students from the stage of "general ambitions"—such as the mere desire to succeed—to the stage of "precise planning." During the session, we discussed how students can formulate academic goals that are:

  • Clear and Realistic: Aligned with their current capabilities and surrounding circumstances.

  • Applicable: Broken down into small, manageable steps that can be easily implemented daily.

  • Psychologically Conscious: Designed to motivate rather than lead to burnout, encouraging long-term persistence.

Our students emerged from this session with skills that enable them to:

  1. Build a Clear Academic Path: Reducing mental distraction and preventing the loss of effort on unproductive tasks.

  2. Enhance the Sense of Control: When goals become clear and compartmentalized, the anxiety of the unknown fades, replaced by sharp focus.

  3. Boost Self-Confidence: Seeing tangible achievements—no matter how small—serves as the true fuel for successfully completing their educational journey.

Our Valued Donors on GlobalGiving, through your support, we are building the "organized mindset" that orphans and displaced youth need to overcome the obstacles of their reality. You are granting them the ability to manage their futures with intelligence and steadfastness. Thank you for being the pillar of support they lean on as they rebuild their lives.
