Dear supporters,
We keep being grateful for you faithful support, as the past year challenging for fundraising. Therefore it is extra rewarding when our We women team keeps getting your vote of trust.
At We women we stay passionate and what else can we do, as the women keep being so inspiration. No matter how much pressure they are enduring, they keep being ressilient, innovative, supportive of their community, their family, their friends.
In September I visited both Myanmar and Thailand, I spoke with alumni, current students, volunteers and friends and as long as I have worked with women from Myanmar, they are ever as commited. The gratefulness of the women that we keep supporting is also hearthwarming. I return their gratefulness, as they are always open to tell their stories, to share their friendship and love, so for me it feels like a warm homecoming to meet my sisters.
I also visited our student and friend Bee, who studies in Bangkok and is doing an amazing job, last two semesters, she got straight A's for almost all her subjects. Here is what she is writing for you all:
Bee, third year student, BA Biomedical Science:
"In 2024, I have learned a lot, especially from my mistakes. As a third-year biomedical science student, I have faced many challenges, making this the toughest year yet. However, these challenges have also been the most rewarding. I have gained a deeper understanding of the human body and various diseases, which continues to amaze me and make me feel more connected to my studies.
Beyond academics, I have also learned new things about myself. I realized that I struggle with starting something new anything that deviates from my daily routine makes me feel nervous and uncertain. At first, this realization was unsettling, but I now see it as an opportunity for growth. Understanding my fears allows me to work on overcoming them, which is an essential part of personal development.
Life is about continuous learning, both in and outside the classroom. No matter how much I learn, there is always more to discover, and that is what makes the journey exciting."
We are sending you all love, light and million thank you's
Ursula & the We women team
