Celebrating together builds strong bonds in families and in communities. Holiday rituals connect the ordinary with the extraordinary and give young students a sense of purpose and belonging.
Dia del Niño (Children’s Day) promotes and raises awareness of children’s health and well-being and so we have been looking forward to celebrating it with our students all year. Special days like Children’s Day are filled with joyful activities such as piñatas, games, face painting, and more!
Guatemala has some of the worst rates of malnutrition and child mortality in the region. Knowing the many hardships facing our families, students are given breakfast, healthy snacks and a main meal each day in an environment that nurtures trusting relationships with adults and other children and inspires and supports active learning. And we couldn't do it without your support. Thank you!
