Over 1,100 teachers, principals and educational authorities at different levels within the structure are enrolled in the course. This year's cohort began in late february and will conclude in July.
Thanks to your continued support and that of our other institutional donors and allies, a core group of high-performing participants will be invited to the Educating for Wellbeing's Professional Development Program and the Social and Emotional Leadership Course scheduled to begin in Sept of this year. Educating for Wellbeing in 2024
By Daniela Labra | General Director, AtentaMente
We are thrilled to share with you our plans for contributing to a prosperous 2024 by supporting the wellbeing of teachers and their students. At the end of last year, we completed one of the world’s largest randomized control trials (RCT) measuring the effectiveness of our program on teacher wellbeing. The study was conducted with 421 preschools in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, which included 2,162 educators. The findings show improvements in educator well-being and significant positive changes in their students’ social and emotional competencies. These results suggest that the Educating for Wellbeing program serves as a useful tool for enhancing the well-being of educators and students, and the study serves to contribute to the broader educational psychology literature and potentially provide some insights for policy and practice in early childhood education, especially within a Mexican context.
Thanks to your generous support, we are expanding our work to support even more teachers and preschool children across Sinaloa. We look forward to continuing to share our journey with you, and would love for you to share our story with others as well! You can do this by sharing the link below with friends, colleagues and family. We greatly appreciate your kind and thoughtful support, and wish you a meaningful and joyful 2024!

Hear from participants of Educating for Wellbeing!
By Daniela Labra | General Director, AtentaMente
We would like to send out a heartfelt thank you for your support for Educating for Wellbeing. Our program is built on evidence-based strategies for cultivating inner wellbeing in educators and their students. We believe that by giving educators the tools to manage emotional regulation, foster prosocial skills and excel at relationship building and leadership, then we are equipping them to be exceptional role models for their students. Following the training, educators are ready to implement our curriculum that is designed to build their students’ social emotional competencies.
In previous reports, we have shared the number of students and educators that have been reached by our programming. Today, we would like to give you an opportunity to hear from some of the educators who have completed their training as they share their experiences and feedback with us.
We are profoundly grateful for your generous contributions, and are excited about the future of education in Mexico. Thank you for being a part of our efforts in providing children with the skills and tools they will need to thrive in the face of adversity and become powerful, compassionate leaders in the future.
