Help Feed 250 Hungry Children in Kenya

Dear Supporters, 

It's been a very different tiime for us all. Our schools under instruction of the govenment returned in October and we implemented a staggered return to school approach and before the end of the year we had welcomed all 350 children back to school. 

Throughout the pandemic your donations and supported helped our project continue. An update from the school principal, Brian included:.

"..Shauri Yako and the school are doing okay and we are looking after the new stock of chickens [now 74 of them!] as well as distributing foodstuffs to the children and their parents [to cook at home] and supplying some homework to the children too....We cook the eggs for the kids especially on Mondays and Fridays when we have many kids coming in ...."

The COVID-19 virus has only hit us more recently and with your donations we was able to purchase therom guns and fund masks for every student and staff member to allow us to begin to get back to learning.  On the 12th October we welcomed back Grade 4 and class 8. We had a visit from the local health team and spent a lot of time educating the children around the pandemic and importance of these masks. A very challenging thing is to get the children to keep the mask on. 

We hope as 2021 approaches and we open the doors to a new academic year we wiill be able to continue to keep the school open for our students and community to catch up with learninig.
