Dear Friend,
With deep gratitude and sincere joy, we thank each and every one of you who has contributed to this life-changing project. Your generosity has brought hope, dignity, and a future to the children of Brobo.
Let us tell you about Adele.Adele is a little girl who lives in the heart of Brobo. Every morning, she carefully gathers sticks in front of her small clay hut. She places them in neat rows in the sand. She pretends it’s a classroom. She stands in front of the sticks and begins to teach, dreaming of one day becoming a real teacher. But Adele doesn’t go to school — because until now, there has been no real school in Brobo. That’s changing — thanks to you.
Prof. Vincent Asse, a pediatrician born in Brobo, has devoted his life to giving children like Adele a chance. With your support, we have gathered the funds necessary to begin building a proper school, including a specialized complex for children with disabilities.
Project Progress
Thanks to your support, construction is finished. For the first time, the children of Brobo have a classroom with solid walls, a roof that protects them from rain, and desks where they can write and learn in peace.
The Need Ahead: Stimulating Equipment for Children with Disabilities
While the building is finished, we now face the next urgent need: specialized equipment for children with physical and cognitive disabilities. These children, too, dream and have the right to learn, grow, and thrive.
We aim to furnish the school with:
These tools will help the children develop essential motor, communication, and cognitive skills and will allow them to be included in everyday school life.
Why This Matters
Brobo is a village 30 kilometers from the city of Bouaké. Until now, it had only a makeshift school — a roof of palm leaves, held up by bamboo sticks, with no floor and no walls. During the rainy season, classes were halted altogether, as water pours down directly on the children’s heads. Children with disabilities had no chance for any social life. They were hidden by their families.
This means no learning. No progress. No future.
The school we’re building changes that. It brings:
Long-Term Vision
This project is not just about bricks and mortar — it’s about breaking the vicious circle of poverty. It’s about empowering children. It’s about Adele standing in front of a real classroom one day, not just a row of sticks.
With your continued help, we can develop the school. We can equip it for every child. We can open a door to the future — and keep it open.
Thank you for standing with us.
With gratitude and hope,
