This year may be remembered as a watershed moment for the school for children from poor villages in the Sundarbans, a relatively remote region of the country. We plan to provide world-class facilities with affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). We decided to gradually upgrade our school to the higher secondary level, adding class V in the upcoming academic year. Later, we will upgrade one class per year until our first group of students appears for the HS exams in 2033.
With the help of donors and well-wishers, our long-held dream will come true. We intend to start one class each year because, despite the enormous amount needed to complete the mission, we hope that good-hearted people from all over the world will support us. Modern technology will be used at the school under the direction of qualified staff members and teachers.
School report:
This year, the school has 155 students, and the third terminal test has been finished. The final exam will be taken beginning December 5.
To improve the school and the quality of the teachers, a teacher training program has been underway for the past six months with educational experts and will continue in the coming days.
To create a comfortable teaching environment, we are remodeling classrooms and other amenities such as toilets, bathrooms, running water, and so on.
Modification and development of the playfield are underway.
We are really attempting to install playing objects to transform a portion of the school grounds into a children's park.
The smart classroom and computer lab have been updated to a modern standard.
A course curriculum based on CBSE guidelines has been designed.
I urge well-wishers and donors to support us in this long-awaited noble cause, which has the potential to transform Sundarbans' rural society.
