In a world where so much feels uncertain, your support has helped WONDER do something extraordinary: bring hope to life through education, mentoring, and opportunity.

This year, together with 36 women-led partners in 20 countries, we’ve reached 20,500 women and girls. Each has taken a step towards independence through skills training, accredited courses, and mentoring that builds confidence and community.

The results are inspiring:

• Every graduate increased her income;

• Three in four doubled it within six months;

• Nine in ten are now mentoring others or taking on leadership roles.

Behind each number is a powerful story. Women like Wambui in Kenya, who used her training to turn farm waste into clean energy, improving her family’s health while protecting the planet. Or Jacinta in London, a young asylum seeker determined to finish her education and become a voice for others.

Thanks to your support, women like Josselyn are transforming their lives through the vocational training offered at Fundación Junkabal, in the heart of Guatemala City’s Basurero community.

Josselyn had known about the school for 15 years. But it was only when she was struggling with depression that, with the encouragement of her husband, she stepped through its doors. “I was told there were scholarship opportunities,” she recalls. “And I thought, ‘This is my chance.’”

She joined the six-month hospitality course, where she learned both technical and entrepreneurial skills that have had a direct impact on her business. “What I liked most was the patience and dedication of the chefs. That’s what motivated me to complete it,” she shared.

Josselyn now runs two small businesses: a dessert venture and a taco cart. She’s applying what she learned to price her products correctly and grow her customer base. “I first gave out samples, then started selling portions, and now I get orders for whole cakes. I plan to sell cakes during the week and promote my taco cart on weekends.”

Beyond practical skills, Josselyn received mentoring that helped her rebuild confidence and improve her mental health. “Thanks to this course, I got to know myself better. I can say that my mindset has changed.”
