The devastating floods in northern Morocco have left families without homes, clean water, or basic necessities. The High Atlas Foundation, with proven experience responding to the 2023 earthquake crisis, is mobilizing an immediate humanitarian response alongside trusted local partners to deliver critical aid to affected communities. Your support will provide emergency relief directly to families in their most vulnerable moment, helping them meet urgent needs and begin the process of recovery.
Severe flooding in northern Morocco has displaced hundreds of families, destroyed homes and infrastructure, and left communities without access to clean water, shelter, or basic necessities. The floods have forced evacuations across affected regions, leaving vulnerable populations, including children, elderly residents, and families who were already living in precarious conditions, exposed to winter weather without adequate clothing, food, or sanitation facilities.
The High Atlas Foundation will mobilize its established network of rural cooperatives, local associations, and community partners to rapidly deliver emergency relief directly to affected families. Drawing on our proven crisis response experience from the 2023 earthquake, we will provide necessities such as winter clothing, food kits, temporary shelters, hygiene products, mobile medical clinics, psychological support services, and clean water to meet immediate survival needs.
Beyond immediate relief, this response will strengthen community resilience and preparedness for future disasters. By working through existing cooperative networks and local associations, HAF is building local capacity to respond to crisis while supporting the restoration of livelihoods and agricultural productivity essential for long-term recovery. The trust and relationships established through this emergency response will create foundations for ongoing development work.
