I'm Sehresh Honey, a mom of two lovely daughters living in Gulshan Iqbal Colony, Gojra. We were going through a tough financial time, but my life took a turn when I joined Society for Human Development's sewing center in 2025. I learned so much - sewing kids' clothes, designing shalwar kameez, and even basic machine repair . Embroidery, stitching, and fabric design skills came along too. Now, I'm stitching quality clothes for others and contributing in our household income from my home. My husband and I are super excited to work together for our kids' future. The sewing center gave me skills, hope, and confidence . I'm feeling empowered, getting recognized in my community, and showing my daughters what's possible . Looking forward to earning steady, gaining respect, and building a brighter future for my family. Thank you.

19 years old Marriam Rose, lives in Bonnieabad. Due to financial struggles, I had to drop out of school at 13. My father, a mason, earns Rs. 1,250 per day when work is available, but it's not enough to support our family. I knew about the Society for Human Development's (SHD) sewing center in our village, which offers a one-year cutting and sewing course. I enrolled, and I'm thrilled to be learning valuable skills that can change my life.
At the sewing center, I'm not only learning sewing, cutting, and stitching but also embroidery, fabric design, and alteration techniques. My trainer is kind and patient, making it easy for me to grasp these new skills. As I progress in my training, I'm already starting to earn Rs.3500 by stitching clothes for neighbors and friends. The sense of independence and confidence I'm gaining is priceless. I'm deeply grateful to the SHD team for creating income opportunities for village women and girls like me. What seemed like an impossible dream is now a reality. With the skills I've acquired, I'm hopeful about my future and look forward to supporting my family and building a better life for myself. I appreciate all of SHD's assistance and support.

The Society for Human Development is putting a lot of effort into developing rights-based programs that will positively impact women's lives. SHD aspires to a society in which women are free from social and economic constraints, feel liberated and free to express themselves, and can grow as individuals. In Hazra Colony, the Society for Human Development established a sewing center. A total of 17 women and girls from Gojra expressed interest and were accepted into the sewing center. 17 students who have finished a one-year course in cutting, sewing, and embroidery say it has been very beneficial.
They believe that they are valuable as unique women and that they are helping to support their families financially. Additionally, they save a significant amount of money for their family, particularly during the Muslim holiday of Eid el Fitr, when garments are given as gifts. Women were pleased and incredibly grateful to the Society for Human Development for providing them with the chance to study and contribute significantly to their families.
Story of Sanam:
"I live in Gojra, and my name is Sanam. When he finds employment, my husband makes Rs. 900 a day as a bricklayer. I'm happy to have learned that SHD runs a sewing center in our area where girls may learn how to sew and cut. I signed up for the sewing center and go to sessions regularly. My dreams are now coming true since I will be able to support my family by sewing garments once I finish the sewing course. I'm so grateful to the SHD team for giving village women and girls the chance to make a life, which previously looked like an impossible goal.
