Greetings from Uganda Hands for Hope!
As always lots has been happening here at Uganda Hands for Hope, and even more as we come to the end of Term 3, 2025!
A little insight into some of what has been happening……………
Reproductive health workshop with students at our High School, where we introduced essential topics such as puberty, contraception, and healthy relationships in a culturally sensitive and interactive manner.
Numerous volunteers, interns and visitors have been coming to support in so many ways, brining joy and happiness to the children and often helping in our Community Outreach Centre which is located in the heart of the community.
Our Outreach centre was started to keep more children safe, away from the dangers of roaming the slums each day, and to provide them a cup of porridge. This not only gives volunteers the chance to also support children who are in great need but also gives them a great insight into the daily lives and challenges faced by so many families.
Our children took part in ‘Spelling Bee’ competitions at Read to Learn, and we were delighted that one of our girls, Ritah, emerged as the top performer! Her dedication, confidence, and passion for learning truly shone through. We’re immensely proud of this remarkable achievement and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll go on to accomplish!
Primary 7 candidates were showered with heartfelt wishes of success from their fellow students, a beautiful display of love, support, and encouragement, which was then followed by a special 'Dedication Day', a special moment of prayer by the local Watoto church to offer encouragement, support and blessings for our pupils as they prepared to sit their final exams.
There are always so many activities taking place that we cannot possibly mention them all, but we are sure Uganda Hands for Hope is continuing to be that little oasis providing love, care and happiness for so many children who need us.
Thank YOU for making our work possible, together we are the voice and action of so many vulnerable families and their children.
