She Stayed in School. That Changed Everything

By Hayley Holden | Fundraising Officer

Sreyneat & her classmates
Sreyneat & her classmates

When Sreyneat* was recognised as an outstanding student at ISF, her mother was there in the audience watching.

For a family who once worried she might never catch up in school, that moment meant everything.

A few years earlier, Sreyneat had missed years of formal education and was at risk of falling further behind. Today, at 17, she is in her final year of technical high school and preparing for university entrance exams.

She told us the biggest change has been her confidence.

“Before, I only hoped to find a normal job to help my family. Now I believe I can study further and build a real career.”

She stayed in school. That made the difference.

And she stayed in school because your consistent support was there.

What You Made Possible in 2025

Because of your support:

  • 195 students rebuilt their learning foundations after missing years of school
  • 98% progressed by two grade levels
  • 450 students stayed enrolled in local schools with daily mentoring and practical support
  • 178 young people progressed into university, vocational training, or employment pathways

For many families, support with meals, healthcare, tuition, and school supplies is what prevents a child from dropping out when financial pressure rises.

In 2025, more than 800 children and young people were able to continue their education journey because long-term support continued.

As students prepare for the next academic year, that steady backing remains essential.

Thank you for being part of this journey. To learn more about the students you are helping support, read the full Education Programme Report here.

Thank you for helping students not only start school, but stay the course and build confidence in their future.
