During this summer, Casa Sin Fronteras has continued to offer its psychological and counseling services to children, adults, and families. In June we did an Art Therapy workshop with the young people of the Missionary Camp of the Missionary Community of Villaregia. In this experience, the teenagers were talking about hope. The therapist helped them use art to visualize what they hope for in their future.
We were invited to collaborate with an excellent group of teachers and social workers from the Department of Education's HOMELESS program, which works with children who do not have a safe home. In the workshop the art therapist Urania led them to visualize and express with art what a safe place represents for them. As part of the workshop she gave them different tools for expression, visualization and personal development that they can implement with their students.
For this new semester we will continue to provide psychological and counseling services, we will be offering Artistic-Creative Therapies workshops in schools, we will do again the Esteem workshops for personal development, and we will offer parenting workshops for families.
