In a year of momentum, impact, and celebration

In a year of momentum, impact, and celebration

Thanks to your support through GlobalGiving, 2025 has been a year of strong growth and consolidation for Chicas en Tecnología (CET)—and a very special one: we celebrated our 10th anniversary.

Over the past decade, CET has reached more than 17,000 girls and young women across Latin America, promoting gender equity in technology through motivation, technical training, employability pathways, and community-building. In 2025, we continued to expand this model, integrating artificial intelligence in a responsible and human-centered way, while deepening long-term opportunities for young women to thrive in the tech ecosystem.

Here are some highlights from the year:

AI Camp — Exploring AI with purpose: In the last months of 2025, 1,000 girls and young women aged 13–23 from across Latin America participated in our AI Camp, an immersive experience designed to explore artificial intelligence through a critical, creative, and socially responsible lens.

Participants strengthened problem-solving skills, ethical thinking, and confidence, while discovering how AI can be used to address real social challenges in their communities. See a glimpse

Girls leading girls — PUMM keeps growing: Our flagship peer-learning and leadership experience, Programando Un Mundo Mejor (PUMM), continued to grow in 2025. Through collaborative labs, mentoring dynamics, and project-based learning, girls and young women connected with role models and peers, reinforcing confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging within the tech ecosystem. Stories that count: Through “Stories that Count (Historias que cuentan)”, inspired by our research The Persistent Gap (La brecha que persiste), young women shared first-person stories about their journeys in technology—why access matters, what barriers still exist, and how opportunities can transform life trajectories. These voices are central to our advocacy and program design.  Meet Vanesa & Lucía

Scholarships that open doors: Thanks to partnerships with organizations like EducaciónIT, 35 girls in Argentina completed certified courses in Intro to Python, Intro to UX Design, and Intro to Cybersecurity. These scholarships provided concrete, job-relevant skills that participants can now proudly include in their CVs and professional profiles. Read more

Young Professionals in IT: We successfully completed the 2025 edition of Young Professionals in IT, with six in-person sessions for members of the CET Community. The program focused on employability and human skills such as self-awareness, critical thinking, remote teamwork, professional communication, and entrepreneurial mindset—key competencies for accessing first job opportunities in technology. Recognition that fuels our mission: In 2025, CET was honored by Premios FLOR, recognizing our sustained work to build a more diverse, inclusive, and socially impactful tech ecosystem in Latin America. This recognition reinforces our commitment to continue scaling our impact with quality and purpose.

Looking ahead: scaling impact in 2026: Looking ahead, we have been actively working on our 2026 planning, designing ambitious programs that will make a significant difference in the educational and professional trajectories of young women across Latin America. Building on what we have already achieved, CET will continue to scale its model to a rapidly growing regional community through innovative programs that encourage girls to stay, grow, and lead in the technology sector.

Our 2026 roadmap includes strengthened pathways in AI-assisted programming, Data Analytics, Robotics courses, and other advanced tech skills, integrated with mentoring, employability support, and community-building. These initiatives are designed not only to develop technical skills, but also to empower young women to envision long-term careers in technology and become active agents of change in their communities.

GlobalGiving support is essential to making this vision possible—ensuring continuity, quality, and access, so that no talent is lost due to lack of opportunity.

Want to do more? Become a monthly donor or invite a friend to support CET. Every gift—big or small—helps a girl take her next step in tech.
