Updates on psycho-social support project
By Theophilus Ekpon | Project Coordinator
As reported earlier 18 recipients of this project have completed the trainings and have been empowered to set up their own businesses. However, the graduation ceremony was unable to hold as earlier scheduled due to logistics challenges. A new date will be announced soon. A new set of project recipients have been identified and they will begin attending training sessions after the graduation and welcome ceremony.
Again, GlobalGiving will be offering matching funds and bonuses for all donations of $100 and above to this project on the 18th of July 2019 between 9am and 10am Washington DC time. Donations will receive matching funds of up to 50 percent per donor. Please keep this date and time in your calenders as we will share further information and reminder closer to July 18th.

We have finally completed the psycho-social support and tailoring training for 18 recipients of this project. The graduation ceremony will take place in April 2019 in Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria. We are also finalizing plans to empower the 18 graduates with well equipped tailoring shops so they can take care of themselves and their families in a sustainable manner.
Next, we are working on selecting another set of recipients for the tailoring school that will resume again in April, 2019. The cattle rearing program will take off in May, 2019. Both livelihoods programs will run concurrently with the psycho-social support and mentorship component of this project.
We could not have done this without your support! Thank you all for partnering in this project. Our special thanks also go to our monthly donors for their generous support to this cause.

In addition to our earlier report, we are happy to announce that 15 of the project recipients that are presently in tailoring school will be graduating in January/February 2019 and will be setting up their own tailoring businesses. This means we will also be accepting more recipients into the tailoring school in February 2019. We also intend to start the cattle rearing training/business for some of the women at the begining of 2019.
We could not have reached this stage of the project without your generous donations! Again, these activities moving forward will require more funding and it will be helpful if you can help donate and spread this message to likely donors in this giving season. The on-going bonus cash prizes by GlobalGiving will also attract additional funds to this project when you donate and (or) bring others to donate.
Every donation before the 31st of December 2018 will be eligible for bonus cash prizes.
Thank you for your support always!
