Challenge

Yemen has plunged into one of the world's most severe humanitarian crises, with women & children bearing the greatest burden. Evidence shows that during prolonged emergencies and home confinement, the home often becomes the most dangerous place for women and children.Rising food insecurity combined with the fact that women are primarily responsible for procuring and preparing food-creates additional household tension that increases the risk of intimate partner violence, threats of hunger &disease

Solution

CWC provides comprehensive support to vulnerable women and girls in Yemen through education assistance, emergency response, and essential social and economic services. The organization targets those most economically affected by the crisis-especially daily wage earners, small business owners, and women working in the informal sector-through cash transfers and support for women-led micro-businesses. CWC also delivers education, nutrition, clean water, hygiene supplies, medicine, & economic recovery

Long-Term Impact

This project will be the creation of a generation of educated, resilient, and economically empowered girls who are able to break the cycle of poverty in their families and communities. By ensuring continued access to education and supporting their social and economic stability, the project strengthens household well-being, reduces protection risks, and increases the likelihood that girls transition into productive and self-sufficient adults. Over time, this contributes to healthier communities
