JÓVENES CREATIVOS REPORT – October the 20th, 2025

ENGLISH VERSION:

Time moves quickly, and with it, we continue writing new stories of transformation. As we reach the last quarter of 2025, we are excited to share the most significant progress of the Jóvenes creaTIvos 2025 program — an initiative that continues to open new pathways for young people across Latin America to find in technology a gateway to their future.

Over the past months, we have accompanied hundreds of adolescents and young adults throughout their journey of learning, personal growth, and talent discovery. Each city, each group, and each story reflects the transformative power of education when it is combined with purpose, empathy, and real opportunities.

July Activities

In July, we reached 50% completion of the program after successfully completing the recruitment stage, the soft skills and entrepreneurship modules, and the initial stages of software development. We continued with the HTML and CSS modules, which form the foundation of front-end development.

We also held our third in-person session in all participating cities, focused on these core topics. These meetings provided valuable opportunities for students to share experiences, strengthen bonds, and consolidate their learning with the support of specialized mentors.

We continued offering complementary talks, including sessions on mental health and mindfulness, which provided tools for self-care and emotional regulation. Additionally, we held a UX/UI design workshop, giving participants a chance to explore new areas within the software development field.

Finally, we conducted a pedagogical visit to Sofka Technologies, our main technology partner, in Medellín.

August Activities

In August, we reached 63% program completion and began the JavaScript module, integrating the knowledge gained from HTML and CSS. This marked the fourth stage of the Software Development track, where students learned to combine structure, design, and functionality in a web page.

We celebrated our fourth simultaneous in-person session across the eight cities, closing the previous modules and reinforcing collaborative learning.

During this month, we held five complementary talks:

  • Two technical talks on DevOps Engineering and the impact of Artificial Intelligence.
  • One mental health session focused on strengthening self-esteem.
  • One employability session on résumé creation.
  • One financial literacy talk delivered by VISA.

We also conducted four pedagogical visits:

  • In Cali, to Adecco, an employment agency.
  • In Guayaquil, to Agrosoft, a technology company.
  • In Medellín, to Sofka Technologies.
  • In Quito, to Sofka Technologies.

September Activities

In September, we reached 75% program completion. We concluded the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript modules and began the Node.js module, a key complement to JavaScript development.

Our participants demonstrated consistent interest and commitment to their learning process. This month, we held the fifth in-person session, focused on the practical application of the concepts learned in Node.js.

We also hosted seven complementary talks, including:

  • Two mental health sessions.
  • A three-part mindfulness workshop.
  • Two employability talks.

Additionally, we carried out two pedagogical visits:

  • In Bogotá, to VISA, a global leader in payment technology.
  • In Medellín, to Lean Solutions Group, a company dedicated to technological innovation.

October Activities

In October, we reached 88% completion of the program! This month marked the beginning of the final stage, as participants began developing their final projects to earn their certification as Jóvenes creaTIvos 2025 graduates.

We completed the Node.js module and began React, the last module of the web development training. We also held our final in-person session, which consolidated both the technical and personal growth of our participants.

During this month, we carried out the following complementary sessions:

  • One session on mental health.
  • One session on employability.
  • One session on personal finance.
  • Two sexual and reproductive health workshops, focused on youth.
  • The beginning of the Databases workshop, which will conclude in November.

We also conducted pedagogical visits to several partner companies:

  • Sofka in Paysandú.
  • Lean Solutions Group in Barranquilla.
  • Sofka in Quito.
  • Banco Guayaquil in Ecuador.
  • Adecco in Cali.

Growth and New Partnerships

Throughout this quarter, we continued strengthening our strategic partnerships. One of the most significant collaborations was with VISA, which offered our participants a Practical Finance course and two specialized talks on financial education. These activities helped young people expand their understanding of responsible financial management as a key element of professional growth.

Individual Emotional Support Sessions

One of the most meaningful improvements implemented this year was the creation of a partnership with a mental health service provider, which now offers individual emotional support sessions to all young participants who have been part of the program since 2019.

These sessions are voluntary and conducted by qualified mental health professionals, who provide tools to help participants face personal, academic, and family challenges.

During this reporting period, 27 young participants voluntarily requested and received individual psychological support — a clear demonstration of our ongoing commitment to the integral well-being of our youth.

Closing Reflections

With every completed module, every talk delivered, and every partnership strengthened, we continue to reinforce the mission that gave life to Jóvenes creaTIvos: to build real opportunities for learning, employability, and well-being for hundreds of young people across Latin America.

As we close this stage, we are filled with pride and hope, witnessing how the talent and perseverance of our participants are transforming into stories of positive impact that inspire us to keep creating change.
