The Women Empowerment and Resilience Initiative by Dels Foundation aims to equip vulnerable women and young mothers in Ghana with practical vocational skills that promote economic independence and resilience. The project focuses on structured skill training programs that enable women to generate sustainable income and improve their livelihoods.
Many women and grls, particularly teen mothers and vulnerable young women, face: Limited access to formal education and employable skills High unemployment and financial dependency Poverty and social vulnerability Low self-confidence and limited mentorship opportunities Without practical skills, many remain trapped in cycles of economic hardship.
The Women's Empowerment and Resilience Initiative (WERI) aim to address the challenges faced by women and Girls by providing vocational training and financial literacy programs that enhance their skills and economic independence. Dels Foundation will implement hands-on vocational training programs in: Tie and dye production Bead making Entrepreneurship and small business management and financial literacy The training will be complemented with mentorship
