Dear donor,
We hope this message finds you well. We are pleased to share the impact that your generous support has made over the past year in Poncitlán.
Thanks to this project, 5,063 beneficiaries from five highly marginalized communities in the municipality of Poncitlán were supported throughout the year. These communities face severe social and economic challenges and are among the most affected by chronic kidney disease in Mexico. As a result of this intervention, we achieved a notable reduction in nutritional problems among children, improving their overall health and quality of life in a context where adequate nutrition is often inaccessible.
Beyond food assistance, we firmly believe that sustainable change begins with knowledge. Throughout the year, we implemented monthly educational sessions addressing key topics such as the importance of good nutrition, health, human development, and household technologies. Our education program focuses on empowering mothers, fathers, and caregivers through talks and practical workshops designed to strengthen their nutritional and food-related skills.
The goal of this educational component is to help families adopt healthier practices, improve long-term eating habits, and strengthen social bonds within their communities, creating a supportive environment that fosters collective well-being.
In addition, our work continues to gain recognition. Felipe de Jesús Lozano Kasten, a renowned physician and researcher, conducted an investigation focused on communities affected by chronic kidney disease, including Poncitlán. The nutritional supplement used in our daily operations was rigorously evaluated by his expert team from the University of Guadalajara (UdG), confirming its strong nutritional value and effectiveness. These findings were shared within the scientific community, reinforcing the credibility and impact of our approach.
This scientific validation allows us to provide you with transparent and trustworthy evidence of the success of our programs—and of the real change your support makes possible.
We are deeply grateful for your commitment to improving the health and nutrition of children and families in Poncitlán. However, the problem remains urgent and ongoing. Nutritional deficiencies and chronic kidney disease continue to threaten the well-being of these communities. This project can only continue with your support.
Your contribution today helps ensure that children and families in Poncitlán can keep receiving not only nutritious food, but also the knowledge and tools needed to build a healthier future.
Thank you for standing with us and making this work possible.
