We're Almost There - 10,000 Students and Counting

By Ernesto Rodriguez | Executive Director

We’re excited to share that Nature In The Classroom is approaching a major milestone—soon we will have served 10,000 students through our immersive, restorative ceiling murals.

Thanks to your generous support, we are now present in 19 school districts across 8 states, currently reaching over 9,500 students. Recent installations in Marysville, CA and Corning, CA have expanded our growing impact, and the results continue to speak for themselves.

A first-grade teacher in Paducah, Kentucky, recently shared this powerful reflection:

“Students have learned that when they feel overwhelmed, distracted, or in need of a quiet moment, they don’t have to leave their seats—they can simply look up. The calming canopy can be seen from every inch of our classroom and has been so helpful for students as well as myself. This small action of simply taking a moment for ourselves has helped many become more self-aware and grounded. Paired with our social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies, the ceiling offers a gentle pause for reflection, helping students identify, understand, and regulate their emotions independently.”

We’re also proud to report that a school in Indiana serving incarcerated teenagers has seen a significant drop in behavioral incidents following the installation of Nature In The Classroom. This is a powerful testament to how restorative environments can support even the most vulnerable students.

As we near our 10,000-student milestone, we remain deeply grateful for your continued belief in our mission. Your support is helping create classroom environments where all students—regardless of their background—can feel calmer, more focused, and emotionally supported.

Thank you for growing with us.

With gratitude,
The Nature In The Classroom Team
