Thanks to supporters like you, Nature In The Classroom continues transforming learning environments. We have reached a milestone this month. Tree ceilings are now active in 20 school districts across 9 states, supporting 10,000 students daily. This period, we completed installations in a windowless high-needs school for incarcerated teens in Indiana. Windowless libraries throughout two districts in Central California, and an elementary school in Cincinnati.
Teachers continue to send powerful testimonials describing meaningful shifts in student behavior, emotional regulation, and classroom culture. “The tree ceiling has brought a sense of calm, comfort, and safety to our classroom. You can feel the shift the moment students walk in.” – Kaylee Dickens 1st grade teacher. Students frequently describe the ceiling as “peaceful,” “like being outside,” and “my favorite thing in the room.” “When I’m stressed, I look up. It helps me breathe.” 5th grade student.
I am also excited to share that as we proceed into the new year, Nature In The Classroom will be featured in Edutopia, a foundation created by George Lucas to support teachers and education.
Your support is helping students feel calmer, safer, and more connected in their learning environments. Tree ceilings may look simple, but their impact is profound—especially for children navigating stress, trauma, or windowless spaces. We are deeply grateful for your continued partnership in bringing nature’s restorative power into classrooms where it is needed most.
