Food Rations and Door-to-Door Iftar in Ramadan
By Ambereen Siddiqui | Director - HOPE USA
![]()
Dear HOPE Friends,
As the Last Ten Nights of the Blessed Month of Ramadan Grace Us, Our Field Team has Ramped up its Efforts to Provide as Many Needy People with Food Rations and Door-to-Door Iftar as Possible.
Below are pictures from our Door-to-Door Iftar distribution this week. This area is a landfill outside of Karachi known by the residents there as "Kachra Kundi." Sadly, as the name implies in Urdu, this community is living alongside the garbage and waste of the metropolitan Karachi zone. They subsist by searching through the debris for recyclables by which they then earn a meager living.
Additionally, you will find pictures of our Door-to-Door Iftar distribution in the Northern Areas of Pakistan.
Also included are more Food Rations and Door-to-Door Iftar distribution pictures from the Karachi metropolitan area.
Thank you all for your gracious donations which enable us to combat poverty, hunger, and malnutrition in Pakistan.

HOPE Honors Dr. Mubina for Women's History Month
By Ambereen Siddiqui | Director - HOPE USA
![]()
Dear HOPE Friends,
HOPE USA Director, Ambereen Siddiqui, takes a few moments to talk about her inspiration and the humble, grassroots movement started by HOPE Pakistan Founder, Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla 25 years ago.

https://youtu.be/WA6TShvw5RE
HOPE initially began when Dr. Mubina was training to be a pediatrician at Dow Medical in Karachi. She and a small band of volunteers decided to do what was in their capacity at the time to address the healthcare crisis that plagues Pakistan. Due to the poverty that is ubiquitous throughout Pakistan, they had no shortage of poor people around them that were in dire need of healthcare and medications. Soon, what began as a sincere seed and inspiration, grew to an organization that uses a multi pronged approach to poverty alleviation which includes Health, Education, Vocational Training, Clean Water, and Disaster Relief .
Today, by the Grace of God, HOPE provides free/nominal cost poverty alleviation services to 900,000 individuals yearly; 70% of whom are women and children.
Warm Regards,
The HOPE USA Team
