Cinepax Cinemas Rolls Out the Red Carpet for HOPE Children - Featuring Zootopia Screening in Ocean Mall, Karachi
On February 14, 2026, 200 children from HOPE's Zia Colony Formal School in Karachi, Pakistan were treated to a screening of Zootopia in Urdu at Ocean Mall, Karachi, courtesy of Cinepax Cinemas. Since HOPE caters to those living below the poverty line, for the vast majority of these children, it was their first time ever seeing a movie in a theater, and for many others, the first time ever inside a shopping mall.
Cinepax Cinemas extended a warm welcome to HOPE's children and reserved the entire space for them to enjoy their day out with their peers. The Zootopia screening was featured in Urdu and students were treated to popcorn and drinks during their visit. Needless to say, the children were beyond excited for this opportunity to enjoy a movie on the big screen with their friends and teachers.
HOPE has been operating Schools, Hospitals, Vocational Centers, as well as other poverty alleviation services in inner city neighborhoods, far-flung villages, and remote mountaintops throughout Pakistan for nearly three decades. Patients and students of HOPE's Hospitals, Schools, and Vocational Centers all live below the poverty line and receive services for free/nominal cost. These services are sponsored by our generous donors to uplift people from the tenacious grip of poverty.
