This month, the Even Project (E-VEN) has witnessed firsthand how opportunity and education can truly take our students to the world stage, reinforcing our core belief that the place you were born should not limit your opportunities—we EVEN them!
Canaima Students on a Global Stage
We are bursting with pride to share a truly inspiring milestone: students from the Sinfónica del Núcleo de Canaima, many of whom participate in E-VEN's classes, traveled to Vatican City to represent Venezuela! They performed during the canonization of Doctor José Gregorio Hernández. This monumental achievement demonstrates the power of talent and dedication, and underscores how the English skills they acquire with us help bridge communication gaps for such life-changing experiences.
In Los Roques, our classes continue to build essential skills, with students recently completing a unit on marine conservation vocabulary, preparing them to be effective environmental ambassadors.
Running and Giving: Supporting Our Mission
We are excited to announce two major initiatives that will help us sustain our mission into the new year:
"Burj to Burj" for E-VEN: We are thrilled to partner with the inspiring runner, @gnevlzcoo, who is dedicating her Dubai half marathon run to E-VEN! She is actively collecting donations for our project as she trains, demonstrating the commitment needed to run the extra mile for our students.
Our Annual Friendsgiving Event: Please save the date for our special "Friendsgiving" fundraiser on Monday, November 27th. This gathering helps us raise critical funds for teaching materials and volunteer support, ensuring we can continue delivering quality education in Los Roques and Canaima.
