Dear Friends,
Summer at Delia's Center is a time for fun and experiential learning through art, music, and cooking activities. It's hard to believe that time has gone by so fast and it is over a year since we moved into our new, larger location. We have continued to improve the space and are currently starting a project to create an exit in the rear of our center, in addition to the front door.
Last year, we were in Romanian when there was a small earthquake. We realized the only exit was at the front of the building and for safety reasons we thought there should be a second exit, elsewhere. It turns out that toward our kitchen /dining area, bathroom and speech therapy rooms is actually a door that had been boarded up. We are now looking at options for replacing this door (it doesn't function properly) which opens into the hallway of the building where we are located. It is, of course, an unexpected but necessary expense to keep everyone safe! We wanted to tell you about it as you were instrumental to our move!!
Thank you for your support that makes everything possible! We hope you enjoy the photos!
Best,
Lauren
