This fourth quarter was a season of growth and restoration at Agatha Amani House. Our farm continued to provide fresh vegetables and fruits that nourished survivors and their children, supporting their health and recovery during a time when many new intakes joined the shelter.
Despite the dry season, we maintained regular watering and farm care, allowing crops and fruit trees to remain productive. Fresh produce added nutritional value to daily meals and helped restore strength and energy to survivors arriving after periods of hardship. New residents were gradually introduced to farm activities, learning practical food-growing skills while adjusting to a safe and supportive environment.
The Christmas season was especially meaningful. Survivors and children celebrated together, sharing meals prepared using farm produce. For many, this was their first peaceful holiday in years—free from violence and filled with warmth, connection, and hope.
