By MARGARET L GRAINGER | Vice President
Every week we support 250 families in need with rice, clothing, medical support and other needs as they arise. We visit those who are very sick or elderly in their homes and the remainder of families come to either our housing or preschool center to receive food and care.
Our ministry to the poor is more than just simply giving people food, it is a time where we spend caring, talking and loving them too. Many of these people are very isolated and some elderly people have no visitors at all. We are a highlight of their week.
In addition to this, we partnered with the local government to give 2nd hand clothing and household items to those who are poor and homeless on the street. This enabled us to meet new people who are slipping through the cracks of support. The social welfare department from Pattaya City hall was able to use this opportunity to gather names and information so that follow up is possible.
Thank you so much for all your love and support. Every little bit helps give life and dignity to the poor.
