Fighting for LGBTQ+ Rights in Africa

February was a significant month for the LGBTQ+ movement. The Pride celebrations down in Cape Town were a powerful display of what is possible when a community stands together. Despite the rain, the energy was incredible, and it served as a stark reminder of why we continue to fight for safe spaces and equality.

We are taking that same momentum and channeling it into our work across the continent.

When you support Action Change, you are funding the infrastructure of a movement that stretches far beyond any one city or country. Right now, our teams are working in multiple regions, hosting workshops that tackle the hardest parts of this fight. We provide the resources and training modules that allow local activists to conduct community-led advocacy, educate their peers, and push for change in places where these conversations were once impossible.

We are building a future where schools are safe for children and where workplaces are open to everyone, regardless of who they love or how they identify. This is long term work, but the impact is real. We are seeing advocates gain the confidence to lead, the language to educate, and the safety to keep pushing forward.
