Dear friends and families of Caleb Foundation,
I'm writing to you today with a heartfelt update on the Caleb Foundation's work in Ethiopia. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we're making significant strides in empowering underprivileged families and building a brighter future for their children.
Empowering Girls and Keeping Them in School
Thanks to a wonderful partnership with Blooming Ababa, we were able to donate over 1,000 reusable menstrual pads. This generous donation provided essential feminine hygiene products to 664 underprivileged high school girls.. This seemingly small act has a huge impact. Access to safe and sustainable hygiene products allows these young women to manage their periods with dignity and confidence. This, in turn, helps them stay focused and keep attending school, which is key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Expanding Our Daycare Program and Creating a Safe Haven for Children
We're thrilled to share that our daycare program is growing! This year, we welcomed 20 additional children, bringing our total to 60 youngsters who receive daily care. At the daycare, these children receive nutritious meals, essential medication, and a stimulating learning environment. This nurturing space allows them to thrive and build a strong foundation for their future.
Empowering Parents and Building Independence
The impact of our daycare program extends beyond the children themselves. By providing safe and reliable care for their children, we empower parents to pursue employment opportunities. This newfound independence helps improve their families' overall well-being and build a brighter future.
