In the heart of Ethiopia, Caleb Foundation serves as a symbol of optimism for underprivileged children and their families. Our free daycare program is more than just a place for children to play and learn; it's a driving force for change, empowering mothers and fostering bright futures. By providing a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 3-6, we are not only ensuring their physical and emotional well-being but also laying the foundation for their academic success.
In Ethiopia, the harsh grip of poverty tightens catastrophically upon pregnancy. Jobless and uninsured women become homeless, forcing new mothers into desperation. To survive, they are forced to choose: beg on the streets, leading to starvation and babies becoming dangerously underweight without vaccinations or doctor visits, or bring their infants to precarious labor sites, where fatal accidents and child abductions have tragically occurred.
Caleb Foundation's free daycare program offers a comprehensive solution to the challenges faced by underprivileged mothers and their children in Ethiopia. By providing a safe, nurturing environment for children, we are addressing the critical issue of child safety and well-being. Our program empowers mothers to pursue employment opportunities, breaking the cycle of poverty and improving their economic circumstances. Our daycare offer, safe environment, nutrition, early education and medication.
Caleb Foundation's free daycare program offers immense long-term benefits for children and their mothers. Children gain a strong educational foundation, improved health, and essential social skills. Their mothers are economically empowered, achieving reduced stress, increased confidence, and better family dynamics. So far, 1,200 children have thrived; mothers are relieved and empowered to stand on their own feet. Caleb Foundation's program delivers a proven, lasting impact on these families.
