Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing health and nutrition support for the elderly. The increasing number of old people in our community is a big problem and taking care of them takes much time and money for the carers. Instead of doing productive work, the carers' time is used up and the family becomes poorer and poorer. We have devised a way for elderlies, as long as they are able and healthy, to do paid but light work in the farm. Work comprise of taking care of farm animals, carrying farm inputs and farm harvest and processing of farm products for the market. This reporting period, we are able to assist 25 elder people find work for themselves. Their relatives who are caring for them are happy about this arrangement. The elderlies also like to do something rather than stay stagnant at home.
