At Agatha Amani House, climate action is not a distant idea. It is lived every day on our permaculture farm. This quarter, one of the most exciting additions has been the introduction of beekeeping, made possible by the thriving ecosystem we are nurturing together. Our trees, planted over the past seasons, have started to attract bees, turning our farm into a buzzing hub of life. We now have two active beehives, both alive with activity, and are looking forward to honey harvest. Beekeeping will promote healthier, sustainable living by boosting pollination for better harvests and providing honey for nutrition. Alongside beekeeping, survivors have continued with other climate-smart practices, such as composting, mulching, and intercropping, all of which contribute to a more resilient farm system. These activities are not only teaching valuable skills but also shaping survivors into environmental stewards who carry forward the message of healthier, sustainable living.
