For three-year-old Utehba, every meal was a struggle. For her mother, every feeding session was filled with anxiety, a race against poor nutrition, and a silent worry about her daughter’s future. Born with a cleft palate, Utehba faced challenges that went far beyond a medical condition; they touched the very basics of childhood: eating, growing, and the hope of one day speaking clearly.
Her family, like so many, loved deeply but had limited means. The specialised surgery she needed felt out of reach, a dream they could not afford. The stress was constant, the fear a daily companion.
Then, they found Al-Mustafa Hospital.
