Great grades for this semester

Studying hard!!!
Studying hard!!!

Hi there

Our project in has had some interesting activity over the last few weeks!

Firstly, thanks to your continued support of the school, the children have studied for and taken some mid-year exams and the results have shown good promise. They showed particular strength in Maths and Lanaguages, maybe we have the next Issac Newton in our school!!

After such good results the students deserved a celebration and so we were able to use some of the wonderful donations we have recieved to celebrate Fiestas de la Patria and Day of Acheivement. For Fiestas de la Patria, the children prepared and carried out processions all around the community! For Day of the Achievement, the children got to show off all their hard work and achievements so far in this year. This is an incredibly important way to build their confidence by showing them how much they have achieved so far, it was a very proud day for everyone, seeing all the work the children have put in to studying.

Finally, some locals whom had had a few too many broke into our kitchen in the school to get a few hours of kip. Unfortunately, they caused a fire and burnt down the school kitchen, taking away the food programme from the children. Luckily, thanks to donations, we have been able to rebuild a simple structure and bought a new gas tank and the food programmes was restarted with little effect on the children.

As you can see, with your kindness, these children are studying hard and progressing really fast so thank you very much!
