Transportation Program

Every week, our transportation program connects children and teenagers with cancer to something far greater than a hospital—it connects them to the possibility of healing and hope.

Some of our young patients live just 18 kilometers away, while others travel over 200 kilometers to reach their chemotherapy sessions. For each family, the journey is filled with both courage and sacrifice.

For a father who works to provide for his family, taking a day off means losing income—and sometimes even risking his job. For a mother, it often means leaving her other children behind for many long hours, ensuring they are cared for by relatives before embarking on the road. In some homes, a child misses school that day, assignments pile up, and daily routines fall apart. When treatment is far from home, even the simplest things—like being present for homework, dinner, or bedtime—can become impossible.

That’s why your support is so vital. Thanks to your generosity, every child in our care is transported safely and comfortably to their treatments, without cost to their families. You make it possible for parents to focus on their child’s health rather than worrying about how they will reach the hospital.

Your recurring donations fully sustain this program, ensuring that no child ever misses a chemotherapy session due to lack of transportation. Behind every mile traveled, there is your compassion at work—easing the journey, protecting families, and giving children a real chance at recovery.

From all of us at Manos Unidas por Coatzacoalcos A.C., especially the children, teenagers, and their families, thank you for being part of this mission. Your continued support represents hope—the most powerful medicine of all.
